Built on new research from interviews with 400 loss moms, Miscarried Hope helps readers process through the 5 Stages of Hope, while addressing cultural stigmas and challenges to grieving their loss. Structured around the parallels between pregnancy/infant loss and the events of Holy Week, readers are invited to follow in the footsteps of Jesus’s disciples as they grieved his death, waited in the silence, and rediscovered hope in his resurrection. With biblical truth and practical comforts for coping with the day-to-day pain of loss, Miscarried Hope leads readers along a gentle road to finding hope again.

a Page of my story

I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories, which led me into journalism. After the hope of Jesus changed my life in my mid-twenties, I knew I wanted to spend my days sharing the best story I had ever heard. I traded a television studio for a theology classroom, and spent the next two years learning all I could about the story of Jesus. I earned my Masters in Theology + Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary (but the best thing I got from Fuller was my husband, Mark!) We have two little kiddos and currently lead The Bridge, a bilingual church in Southern California.

hope again collective

We had a painful start to parenthood. After losing our first baby to miscarriage, I felt like I had miscarried my hope, too. Burdened to help hurting women find hope again, I launched Hope Again Collective in 2020, a handmade earring line that tells the stories of loss moms. Since then, Hope Again has grown into a beautiful international community of women connecting with shared grief and hope. It’s been incredibly meaningful to help hundreds of women share their stories and be able to donate over $10,000 from earring sales to the grief + medical expenses of loss moms.

Speaking

One of my favorite things to do is to sit with God and form messages for Sunday worship services, women's events, national conferences, retreats and MOPS groups. I began speaking to large groups in 2014 and frequently travel to speak. If you’re looking for a speaker or podcast guest, drop me a message below!
